Rustichella d'Abruzzo Pici pasta, similar to Spaghetti but wider: Pici is one of the recent additions to Rustichella d'Abruzzo Regional Formats.
The classic condiment with which they are paired is aglione, a tomato sauce combined with a particular type of garlic that originates and grows only in and around Sarteano (Siena), but they can also be paired with a liver sauce or more simply with briciole (Tuscan bread crumbs sautéed in olive oil).
We also suggest pairing them with a Porcini Mushroom sauce and the very good Rustichella d'Abruzzo Tartufata.
